Vietnamese badminton star Nguyen Tien Minh failed to defend his title at the Yonex Chinese Taipei Open, which concluded in New Taipei City on September 8.
Minh, the world No 5 and tournament favourite, did not look quite his usual self as he lost 21-19, 9-21, 18-21 to unseeded Son Won-ho of the Republic of Korea in the men’s final, which lasted around 80 minutes.
