The Minh Ly Dao – Tam Tong Mieu (Minh Ly sect under the Three-Religion Temple) has revised its regulations to make it adapt to the reality and State law.

The revisions were approved at the sect’s fifth congress held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 21, which saw the attendance of representatives of the Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs, Fatherland Fronts at different levels, local authorities, and over 200 followers of the sect.

During 2008-2013, the sect has step by step completed its organisational structure, tenet, rules, and rituals in harmony with national customs and interests.

Dignitaries and followers of the sect have raised over 2 billion VND for charitable activities and opened a charitable clinic centre in Ho Chi Minh City ’s district 3.

Speaking at the ceremony, Duong Ngoc Tan, Deputy Head of the Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs, praised the sect’s performance and its contributions to humanitarian activities as well as local socio-economic development.

Founded in 1924, the Minh Ly Dao-Tam Tong Mieu combines the faith of three major Oriental religions dedicated to Buddha, Fairies and Saints and promotes the spirit of leniency, happiness and development.

The sect received the Government’s permission to practise its religious rites in October, 2008.
