Ministry announces 1,130 scholarships for postgraduates

The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) on March 10 announced they are starting to receive applications for 1,130 scholarships to follow postgraduate studies overseas.
The Ministry of Education and Training(MoET) on March 10 announced they are starting to receive applicationsfor 1,130 scholarships to follow postgraduate studies overseas.

Of the total scholarship scheme this year, 800 will be granted to PhDdegree applicants, 300 for masters’ degrees and the remainder of 30 forapprentices.

Ninety percent of the MoET’s scholarships are intended for developinghuman resources for universities, academies, colleges, researchinstitutes, major laboratories and high-tech centres in the country.The remaining 10 percent are reserved for officials from stateagencies, enterprises, and social and political organisations.

The scholarship scheme prioritises such fields as science andtechnology, social sciences, economics and management, arts and sports,healthcare and pharmacy, agriculture, forestry and fishery./.
