Ministry urges stepped-up monitoring of A/H1N1
The Health Ministry has asked Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City , and
the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa , which have reported the
largest number of infections of the A/H1N1 influenza, to take special
measures to monitor the development of the flu to minimize its spread
to other localities.

It has requested that the 15 cities and provinces nationwide which have not reported any A/H1N1 infection be prepared for the disease, which has to date affected a total of 3,021 people, including 90 new cases confirmed on September 2.
While confirming that the country continues to keep the super flu well under control, the Health Ministry still pointed to the need to make careful preparations of necessary resources to respond to the disease’s peaks, which will possibly occur in November and December.
As by September 2, 1,410 patients of the A/H1N1 flu in Vietnam have been released from hospital. The remaining 1,609 are under quarantine for treatment and in stable condition./.
