The organising board of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 has announced parts of the semi-final and final stages and overall prizes.

Sixty five contestants will take part in bikini and gowns performances in the semi-final stage, after which the judges will select 45 contestants for the final night, scheduled to take place on October 3 in Nha Trang city.

The organising board also announced the crown for the winner, which is worth 2.2 billion VND (100,000 USD).

The beach resort city of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa province has hosted many beauty contests both national and international.

The Miss Universe Vietnam contest was first held in 2008, in which Nguyen Thuy Lan won the crown and represented Vietnam at the International Miss Universe Contest held in Nha Trang city in the same year. She was among the top finalists at the event.-VNA
