Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) will provide training courses on nuclear technology for students of the Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) and offer scholarship for those having high records during the courses.

An agreement to this effect was signed between MHI and HUT on Jan. 26.

The trainees are students of the university’s Institute for Nuclear Engineering and Environmental Physics who will take part in a nuclear power plant programme in Vietnam in the future.

Under a project approved by the National Assembly, Vietnam will start building the nation’s first nuclear power plant in 2014./.
