Miwon Vietnam has committed at least 500 million VND for humanitarian programmes in Vietnam each year.

An agreement to this effect was signed on September 20 by the company and the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) in the presence of Chairman of VRC’s executive board Tran Ngoc Tang, Miwon Vietnam ’s Director General Yoon Suk Chun and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Park Suk Hwan.

Of the total, 300 million VND will be directly handed to the VRC’s humanitarian fund and another 200 million VND will be presented to the Red Cross at the locality the company is operating to support scholarship programmes, the poor and victims of natural disasters.

At the signing ceremony, Miwon Vietnam ’s leaders have also promised to persuade the company’s headquarters in the RoK to join more projects launched by the VRC.

Chairman Tang said the agreement is seen as a proof of the solidarity and close relations between the two countries, affirming that the VRC will fully implement all terms in the agreement.

The VRC will dispatch its workers to help train the company’s staff in emergency aid, Tang said./.
