As many as 100 Japanese designs for everyday products from the 1950s to present are on display in Ho Chi Minh City.

With things in daily life such as electronic appliances, utensils, toys and the modern high technology stuffs of notebooks, digital cameras, motorbikes and cars, the “Japan Design Today 100” exhibition is an opportunity for Vietnamese visitors to understand industrial design in the Japanese present-day life.

It is also an explanation for the success of “Made in Japan ” products.

The exhibition, held by the Japanese Consulate General in HCM City , the Japan Foundation in Vietnam and the Museum of HCM City, is part of the Japan-Mekong Exchange Year 2009 and the Japanese Culture Month in HCM City .

It will run till Nov. 24./.
