The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) on January 6
voted to introduce additional candidates to the Politburo and
Secretariat for the 2016-2021 term at its ongoing 10th meeting.
The committee then focused discussions on a draft report summarising several theoretical and practical issues during the 30-year renewal process and another on the enforcement of the Party Statute approved at the 11th National Party Congress.
The Politburo’s draft political report, which will be submitted to the upcoming 12th National Party Congress, was also on agenda during the second day of sitting.
The CPVCC’s 10th meeting will last until January 12.-VNA
