In the first sixmonths of this year, Vietnam exported to Brazil 5,800 tonnes of tra fishworth about 12 million USD and 18 tonnes of other fresh and frozenfish, equivalent to roughly 36,900 USD.
According totra fish exporters, Brazil is a huge potential market but due to risksand low prices, it does not yet appeal to Vietnamese exporters.
To export to Brazil smoothly, especially as Vietnamese tra fish arecompeting in price with Brazilian carp, Vietnam’s commercial office inBrazil recommends that domestic businesses should ensure the volume andquality of their products when exporting to the South American country.
