A joint programme between the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation and the Foreign Ministry’s State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese was signed in Hanoi on Dec. 10.
The programme is designed to speed up implementation of the Politburo’s resolution on affairs related to Vietnamese expatriates, promote the national unity bloc and enhance coordination between the two agencies in mass mobilisation.
Under the programme, the two agencies will join hands in studying, building and carrying out policies and laws relating to the Vietnamese community abroad and conduct quarterly and yearly reviews on the implementation of the cooperation programme.
So far, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese have signed cooperation agreements and programmes with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vietnam News Agency, Radio the Voice of Vietnam, VTC Digital Television and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, among others./.
