The construction of a residential complex including schools, medical centres and social housing is underway in Ly Son Island district, central Quang Ngai province.

The complex, costing 10 billion VND (480,000 USD), is funded by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and will help improve infrastructure on the island, contributing to its socio-economic development and raising living standards for islanders.

The work is scheduled to finish by the end of the year.

The bank has been active in social welfare work in Quang Ngai province, funding many projects worth up to 35 billion VND (1.67 million USD) since 2011.-VNA
