Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 350 Vietnamese citizens were flown home from Angola on December 12 on a Vietnam Airlines flight.

The flight was arranged by the Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola, the national flag carrier, and authorities in the host nation.

Passengers on board include children under 18 years old, labourers with expired contracts and people in extremely difficult circumstances.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, disease prevention measures were strictly carried out during the flight. Upon landing at Van Don International Airport in northern Quang Ninh province, the flight crew and all passengers were given health check-ups and quarantined.

On the same day, a Vietjet Air flight landed at Can Tho International Airport in the Mekong Delta city of same name, taking more than 340 Vietnamese citizens in Myanmar back home. 

Upon arrival, crew members and all passengers were given health check and quarantined as regulated./.
