Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a list of selected news summaries last night by the Vietnam News Agency.

- Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue held online talks with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China Zhao Leji on March 27. The talks took place right after the first session of the 14th NPC, and it is also the first contact between key leaders of the two countries so far this year. Read full story

- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha received outgoing Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Vietnam Office Shimizu Akira in Hanoi on March 27, during which the host said JICA’s programmes and projects in Vietnam have realised cooperation agreements between the two countries in a timely manner. - The British Embassy in Hanoi on March 27 announced nine low carbon projects from across Vietnam as the first cohort to join Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) Vietnam. The selected projects represent diverse sectors such as renewable energy, resource/energy efficiency, e-mobility, AFOLU (agriculture, forestry and other land uses), decarbonising construction, circular economy, and waste management; and have the potential to benefit communities across Vietnam. - Vietnamese lender VPBank on March 27 signed an agreement to sell its 15% stake to Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) through a private placement. The investment from SMBC will help VPBank raise 35.9 trillion VND (approximately 1.5 billion USD) of Tier 1 capital (equal to 30,160 VND per share), increasing its equity to approximately 140 trillion VND from 103.5 trillion VND.
