- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed on April 4 that the Government, ministries and agencies need to take all measures to effectively fulfill their tasks.

- Hanoi always give high priority to developing its friendship and cooperation with Lao localities, particularly Vientiane, said Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung at his meetings with Lao leaders on April 4.

Leading a visiting delegation of the Vietnamese capital city, Dung paid courtesy calls to General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan, and President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane. Read full story

- Vietnam has been picked by analysts from leading Wall Street banks as one of the three hottest markets in the Southeast Asian region, according to the US’s TV channel CNBC.

CNBC asked the analysts of Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Asset Management which Southeast Asian markets were their top picks, and received Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam as the answer. Read full story

- Vu Phong Energy Group JSC and British power firm Shire Oak International have signed a deal to develop rooftop solar power systems at factories run by the Republic of Korea’s Hwaseung Enterprise Co. Ltd. in Vietnam.

 The project will receive 10 million USD in total, and be implemented following the build - lease - transfer format. The systems to be developed will have combined capacity of over 12.5 MW. Read full story

- The People’s Committee of Hanoi has agreed with the municipal Department of Education and Training’s proposal to get pupils from first to sixth grades in 30 districts and townships across the city back to school for face-to-face learning from April 6 after a long period of online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic's impacts. Read full story
-The Miss Peace Vietnam 2022’s preliminary round is underway in all the three northern, central and southern regions of the country, lasting from April 4 to the end of July, heard at a press conference on the beauty contest held in the central city of Da Nang on April 4.

- The Kate Festival of the Cham ethnic people in the south central province of Binh Thuan has been included on a list of national intangible cultural heritages, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

 Kate, the most important folk festival of Brahmanism followers, pays tribute to the gods and prays for good weather, bumper crops, and the development of people and all living things. It features both traditional rituals and folk games./. Read full story
