A charity music was held for the third time in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 1, aiming to raise funds to assist poor Overseas Vietnamese (OV) in Laos and Cambodia.

The show was co-organised by the Sponsor Committee, the Fund for Overseas Vietnamese Communities (FOVC), IMC Vietnam JSC and other sponsors and enterprises.

The occasion honoured contributors who have supported poor OV and helped connect Vietnamese inside and outside the country.

Truong My Hoa, Chairwoman of FOVC and former Vietnamese Vice President said OV are an indispensable part of Vietnam and it is necessary to improve their lives, enhancing national identity through programmes supporting poor overseas residents, cultural exchange and building schools.

The previous shows in 2009 and 2010 contributed 30 billion VND to assist OV in Laos and Cambodia .

FOVC has supported 120 projects totalling 60 billion VND and has become well known to OV worldwide./.
