Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of the State Counselor's Office of Myanmar announced on November 2 the acceptance of people's complaint on cases of bribery and corruption in an effort to promote economic development.

Every citizen has the right to make complaint addressed to the deputy minister of the ministry by registered letter or email, the announcement said.

In making complaint, cases of bribery and corruption committed by governmental officials will be prioritised.

However, the announcement urged not to complain on cases sued in courts, cases under trial or against those who have been convicted.

The ministry pledged to protect the safety of complainants.

The Ministry of State Counselor’s Office was established on April 6, aimed at building up a democratic federal union for peace, development and modernisation and making efforts for exercising market economic system.-VNA
