The Myanmar Embassy in Hanoi on March 27 hosted a get-together marking the 70 th anniversary of Myanmar’s Armed Force with the attendance of Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Truong Quang Khanh.

Guests were briefed of achievements made by the Myanmar army over the past 70 years.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Khanh said important progresses were made in cooperation between the two armies since they set up military attaché relations in 1996, citing delegation exchanges.

Meanwhile, affiliation in defence industry, military medicine and telecommunication has been deployed step by step with initial productive outcomes reaped, he said.

He expressed his hope that the two armies will work to bring their cooperation and friendship to the next level of development, meeting their countries’ interests as well as regional and global common trends.-VNA
