New Delhi (VNA) – Myanmar’s State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Aung San Suu Kyi has expressed her desire to visit India and intensify the two countries’ relations during her meeting with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh.

The information was released by Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup in the ministry’s regular press conference on July 28, the Zeenews reported.

Aung San Suu Kyi also noted that Myanmar wants to learn from India’s experience in developing solar energy and using waste recycling technology for road construction, said Swarup.

Meanwhile, VK Singh affirmed India’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with Myanmar in training parliamentarians and sharing experience on federalism, state management, distribution of power and political reconciliation.

The minister also asked the Myanmar government to provide support for India’s development projects such as the Kaladan multi-modal transport project and the Asian trilateral highway project.-VNA
