National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on December 7 left Japan’s capital city Tokyo for Osaka prefecture, the centre of the Kansai economic region.

In meeting with staff of the Vietnamese Consulate General and community in Osaka, Hung affirmed that the Party and State always listen to Vietnamese living abroad, including Japan, and create favourable conditions for them to enjoy a stable life in the host countries.

On the same day, at a reception for representatives from the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Associations of Kansai region and Sakai city, the NA Chairman stressed that bilateral ties are developing fruitfully in all aspects, especially politics, diplomacy, economics, culture and education.

He thanked the associations’ efforts to foster Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation, expressing his wish that they will continue assisting the Vietnamese community in the region to improve their lives and integration into local society.

The Vietnamese NA will try its utmost to boost friendship between the two countries and peoples, Hung affirmed.

Later, He met with Osaka Governor Ichiro Matsui, who affirmed the regional business community’s wish to continue investment and business activities in Vietnam.

Hung stated that the Vietnamese NA and Government are taking synchronous measures to improve the investment environment and create favourable conditions for foreign investors.

He said he hopes that Kansai firms will further increase investment and cooperation activities in Vietnam, fostering friendship and the strategic partnership between the two countries in the interest of each side as well as for peace and development in the region and the world.

Before leaving Tokyo, Hung received representatives from Daiichi Life Insurance Company and Goodwill Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro./. VNA
