Can Tho (VNA) – Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made clear a lot of issues raised by voters in An Cu ward, Ninh Kieu district, in the Mekong delta city of Can Tho, during her meeting with them on April 25.

For their concern about the health of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, she said the leader’s health has been affected by changes in weather between cooler Hanoi and southern Kien Giang province, where the temperature hit 38 degrees Celsius, and where he visited a facility producing frozen shrimps during the working visit to the locality, plus his heavy workload.

She assured the voters that the Party and State leader will be back to work as normal soon.

She noted down the voters’ concerns about fake medicines, saying the production and sale of fake medicines are banned and will be severely punished.

She promised to transfer their concerns about the need to improve the quality of treatment provided by commune- and district-level hospitals to the Government and related ministries.

Regarding university entrance examination cheating, ethics in schools, and child sexual abuse, she said those are pressing social issues that have caught the public concerns, saying they are being tackled by competent agencies in line with laws.

Sharing with the voters’ worries about traffic accidents caused by drugs-used drivers, the leader told that the violators will be handled in conformity with law and the fight against drugs trafficking will continue drastically.

During the meeting, Ngan answered the voters’ concerns about the implementation of policies for nation contributors.
 
She informed the voters about the major contents of the seventh session of the NA, which is scheduled to open on May 20, and the country’s socio-economic performance so far this year.-VNA
