Lawmakers discussed in groups the implementation of the State budget estimates in 2013, the State budget estimates and central budget allocation in 2014 on the National Assembly’s fifth working day on October 25.

They also reviewed the three-year implementation of national target programmes during the 2011-2015 period and deliberated on the plan to issue supplementary Government bonds in the 2014-2016 period.

In the afternoon, the NA deputies tabled contents of concerns of the draft law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting.

They went through the NA Standing Committee’s report on the draft law presented by Nguyen Kim Khoa, Chairman of the NA Committee for National Defence and Security.

At the working session, the deputies focused on such issues as the involvement of different sectors in society in fire prevention and fighting, technical standards set for the task, the organisation of fire-fighters, fire prevention high-rise buildings, markets, commercial centres and other establishments, and investment for the work.

The lawmakers will resume discussions on October 28, during which they are scheduled to scrutinise a number of contents of the draft Law on Reception of Citizens.-VNA
