National Assembly (NA) deputies examined draft revisions to the laws on Enterprises, Bankruptcy and Social Insurance on May 26 during the ongoing 13th seventh session.
Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh presented the government’s proposal on draft amendments to the Law on Enterprises and Chair of the NA’s Committee for Economic Affairs Nguyen Van Giau delivered a report on draft changes to the Law on Bankruptcy on the basis of deputies’ feedback.
The lawmakers discussed several contentious contents of the Bankruptcy Law, including the competence of courts and procuracy agencies when handling bankruptcy cases, and regulations on asset management and liquidation companies, among others.
In the afternoon, the deputies heard the government’s proposal on draft amendments to the Law on Social Insurance and a verification report of the draft amendments made by the NA’s Committee of Social Affairs.
After that, they gave opinions on a planned programme on making laws and ordinances for 2015 and changes to a similar programme for 2014.
On May 27, discussions in groups will be held in the morning while a plenary session will take place in the afternoon.-VNA
