NA Standing Committee convenes 10th session

The 10th session of the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on August 13 under the chair of NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

In his opening speech, Chairman Hunghighly valued relevant agencies’ preparation of contents for discussionat the session.

He said that the committee will makecomments on bills on prevention and mitigation of natural disasters,cooperatives, reconciliation at local level, and the capital city.

The lawmakers will also give their opinions on changes to the jointresolution of the 11 th National Assembly’s Standing Committee and thePresidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front that provides guidelines on NAdeputies’ meeting with voters, he added.

Accordingto the Chairman, the Minister of Labour, War Invalids and SocialAffairs, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and the ChiefGovernment Inspector, will be queried on matters relating to thehandling of complaints and bad debts.

Amendments and supplements to the 1992 Constitution are also on the agenda.-VNA

PM Le Minh Hung’s Laos visit to help deepen bilateral relations

On July 18, 1977, they signed the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, providing an important political and legal foundation for strengthening bilateral ties and supporting each country’s cause of national construction and defence.
