The fourth session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on Dec. 13, under the chair of NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

Opening the session, Chairman Hung said the committee will give opinions to a number of important issues of bills, including the law on tobacco harm prevention and control , law on money laundering prevention and control, law on deposit insurance, revised Labour Code, law on price management and revised law on water resources management.

Regarding the supervision work, the committee will discuss two thematic topics on the implementation of legal regulations on issuing legal documents by People Councils and People’s Committees as well as the performance of policies and laws on building and developing economic zones and border economic zones.

The committee will consider and decide plans to allocate 2,097 billion VND of investment capital for urgent projects and 820 billion VND for tourism infrastructure development in localities.

The committee’s working programme in 2012, and external affairs and international cooperation activities of the legislature’s bodies will also be adopted at the session./.
