Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will convene its 21st session in Hanoi on March 15 to scrutinise a number of draft laws, according to the NA Office.

During the six-day session, the NA Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Price Law (amended), the draft Law on Bidding (amended), and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Public Security, the draft Law on Water Resources revised), the draft Law on the Management and Protection of Defencee Works and Military Zones, and the Law on Housing (revised); and comment on the explanation, acquisition and amendment of the draft revised Cooperative Law.

Lawmakers will comment on the proposal to include the draft Law on Citizenship Identity (amended) and the draft revised Law on Credit Institutions in the 2023 Law and Ordinance Building Programme.

Regarding socio-economic issues, the NA Standing Committee will discuss the adjustment of investment in Ka Pet reservoir project in Ham Thuan Nam district in the south central province of Binh Thuan.

It will consider the legislature's report on ombudsman work in February, and consider and approve the Prime Minister’s proposal on the appointment and dismissal of ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

A question and answer session will be held on March 20 and broadcast live on TV and radio channels./.
