Rising tennis star Ly Hoang Nam moved up 11 spots in the International Tennis Federation (ITF)'s latest junior ranking to 114th.
Nam's rise was thanks to his impressive performances in three recent ITF Grade 1 tournaments.
The fifteen-year-old made it to the quarter-final round of the Copa Del Cafe tournament in Costa Rica and the second round of the Copa Gatorade in Venezuela.
The new ranking marks a huge achievement for Nam , who three weeks ago, still ranked 276th in the world junior rankings.
The Tay Ninh-born player, now a member of Becamex Binh Duong, will compete in events across the Southeast Asian region in March.
Meanwhile, another Vietnamese tennis player Nguyen Hoang Thien dropped four steps, from 116th to 120th in the rankings/.VNA
