Namibia wants to boost ties in fisheries with VN

Namibia ’s Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Martin Esau has expressed his wish that Vietnam will soon send experts to Namibia to help it develop aquaculture.
Namibia ’s Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Martin Esau has expressed his wish that Vietnam will soon send experts to Namibia to help it develop aquaculture.

During his talks with Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat in Hanoi on June 14, Bernhard invited Vietnamese businesses to visit Namibia to seek opportunities in the field. He also affirmed that Namibia will give top priority to agricultural cooperation with Vietnam .

Emphasising Vietnam ’s wish to foster trade and investment ties with Namibia , Minister Phat said Vietnam is cooperating with several Asian countries in fishing and aquaculture but its cooperation with African nations in this field only is limited at technical exchange.

Also at the talks, the two ministers agreed to speed up the implementation of a tripartite cooperation agreement between Vietnam , Namibia and the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) on providing seafood experts, which was signed in May this year./.
