Cities and provinces across the country on those days are organising a wide range of activities to celebrate the 38 th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification (April 30).

On April 23, Truong Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education, led a working mission to Truong Sa island district, central coastal Khanh Hoa province.

The delegation burned incense at the monument dedicated to fallen soldiers in Truong Sa, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his memorial house and visited the pagoda on Truong Sa Lon island.

On this occasion, an exhibition on the theme of “War memory” was opened in the southern province of Binh Duong .

A national short drama festival is also taking place in the province with the participation of amateur artists from 18 southern cities and provinces.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a photo exhibition and mobile artistic performances to entertain workers in seven districts and towns across the province.

Meanwhile, in the central province of Quang Ngai, nearly 300 heath workers who once fought in the anti-US war gathered on April 23 to celebrate the special day.-VNA
