Deputies debated several draft laws at their ongoing 9th session of the 13th National Assembly on May 27.

They heard reports on the draft law on the organisation of criminal investigation bodies.

The plan for law and ordinance making in 2016 and adjustments to law making plans this year were also tabled for discussion.

The discussion focused on the delay in issuing documents guiding the enforcement of laws, shortcomings in building draft laws and law enforcement, and how to reform law making activities of the National Assembly, among others.

In addition, the proposal on revising Article 60 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance continued to be debated.

Later on the day, they discussed in groups the draft revised Criminal Procedures Code.

On May 28, the lawmakers will sit for a plenary session.-VNA
