The 13th National Assembly passed four laws on June 19 during the on-going fifth session.

The four laws are the Law on National Defence and Security Education, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Value-Added Tax, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Corporate Income Tax, and the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Relief.

In the morning the same day, the NA discussed the draft of the revised Law on Employment.

Twenty six deputies presented their opinions, focusing on state management on employment, policies in creating jobs and sending workers abroad, the development of labour market, unemployment insurance and job placement services.

On June 20, the deputies are scheduled to approve the 2011 state budget balance and debate the revised Law on Bidding. They will also adopt resolutions on the NA supervisory programme for 2014, the negotiations on a government-level agreement on dealing with unplanned migration and non-registered marriage in areas along the Vietnam-Laos border.-VNA
