Vietnam will take part in the Asian Nations Chess Cup, organised for the first time in, Shandong province, China

The May 15-27 tournament will draw federations from all over the region, including Australia , with up to 10,000 USD in prize money.

Federations will be represented by a men and women's team of four players and one reserve each.

The winning teams will represent Asia in the 2013 World (and Women's) Team Championships.

Vietnam plans to send top players such as Le Quang Liem, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son and Nguyen Duc Hoa to compete in the men's event while Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Hoang Bao Tram and Hoang Thi Nhu Y take part in the women's class.

Both teams are expected to finish in the leading groups.-VNA
