National culture & business forum slated for November

The 4th National Culture and Business Forum (NCBF), spotlighting business operations in a multicultural environment, is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in November, heard a press conference held by the organising committee on business culture development (known as Committee 248) on July 8.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 4th National Culture and Business Forum (NCBF), spotlighting business operations in a multicultural environment, is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in November, heard a press conference held by the organising committee on business culture development (known as Committee 248) on July 8.

According to Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan, former Vice Rector of the University of Commerce and a member of Committee 248, the forum aims to contribute to realising the Party’s and State's policies on building Vietnamese culture as well as capitalising on cultural potential, strengths, and resources for sustainable development.

The forum will be jointly held by the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education; the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Committee 248; the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU).

It will offer a venue for participants to engage in discussions, debates, and experience exchanges to enhance the positive and mitigate negative impacts of a multicultural environment on enterprise operations, thereby promoting effective and sustainable growth.

The event will also serve as an occasion for Party and State leaders to meet with and listen to the business community, gathering their proposals on policies conducive to effective operations.

It also aims to award certificates to enterprises meeting the standards of Vietnam's business culture this year, and widely promote the campaign on business culture development initiated by the Prime Minister.

The forum’s highlight will be a seminar on business in a multicultural environment, focusing on discussing key issues such as global business, and the impact of a multicultural environment on business development. It will also review barriers of the multicultural environment to business operations and enterprise development in the current context of integration and globalization. Measures to overcome difficulties and promote the positive impact of the multicultural environment and recommendations to the Government and relevant agencies is also on the agenda.

Luong Duc Thang, Deputy Director of the Basic Culture Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, highlighted the significance of the forum’s theme. It delivers a message that culture is an important factor in promoting the country's image and enhancing friendly and cooperation with other nations.

Accordingly, the forum once again affirms the Party's consistent policy and viewpoint on the importance of culture, considering it a central factor that leads the development of other fields.

At the press conference, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, former Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy, revealed a plan to establish an annual Vietnam Business Culture Day abroad, in a bid to connect Vietnamese entrepreneurs overseas with each other and with domestic counterparts.

Its inaugural edition is expected to be held in Paris, France in September with the participation of the Vietnamese business community in Europe and European businesses interested in and investing in the Vietnamese market, Hue said./.
