Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has made a short film on Vietnam, which was broadcast on BBC and CNN television channels.

The 1-minute film was broadcast on the channels in Asia, Europe and North America during the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which took place in the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi on February 27-28.

With versions in Vietnamese, English, German, French, Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese, the film introduced Vietnamese attractions like the Mekong River, Son Doong cave – the largest known cave located in the central province of Quang Binh, the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, the central city of Da Nang, UNESCO-recognised Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh, and Hanoi.

Vietnam Airlines has been named one of the 10 best companies on the Top 50 Vietnam: The Best in 2018 list for the third consecutive year.

Last year, the airline safely conducted nearly 142,000 flights carrying 22 million passengers and nearly 350,000 tonnes of cargo. Its on-time performance (OTP) rate was 90 percent. -VNA
