Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi People’s Committee has given the green light to a new high-quality bus route connecting the outlining district of Ha Dong and Noi Bai International Airport, further meeting travel demand of passengers in the western part of the city.

The buses will run in every 30 minutes from Me Linh Plaza in Ha Dong district from 5:00 to 23:00. It takes 70-75 minutes to travel the 40.7-kilometre route.

There will be 68 strips along the route each day, with each costing 40,000 VND (1.72 USD) for every passenger.

According to Director of the municipal Department of Transport Vu Van Vien, the bus route will shorten travel time as compared to the regular one as it has fewer stops.

“The bus route will help ease the traffic flow on roads to the airport while meeting travel demands of local people,” he said.

Currently, there are five regular bus routes to Noi Bai International Airport, including four of Cau Giay-Noi Bai (Line 07), Long Bien-Noi Bai (Line 17), Kim Ma-Noi Bai (Line 90), and My Dinh-Noi Bai (Line 109), and one high-quality bus Line 86 linking the Hanoi Railway Station to Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of the city and Noi Bai Airport.

The Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) put into operation bus Line 86, costing only 30,000 VND (1.35 USD) per leg, on April 30, 2016. The route spans 33 km with eight stops.-VNA
