The new government of Cambodia will prioritise settling a range of issues pertaining to social equality, inflation and land, which were raised by the local people in the July general election.

This is the major content of a reform plan outlined by the Cambodian People’s Committee (CPC) for the new government, which will also focus on improving the judicial system, said Cambodian Council of Ministers spokesman Phay Siphan on September 9.

He added that the course of action and governmental targets will be presented by Prime Minister Hun Sen at the first session of the fifth Parliament.

According to the official results released by Cambodia’s National Election Committee (NEC) on Sept. 8, the CPP holds 68 parliamentary seats while the opposition, the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP), takes the remaining 55.-VNA
