New head appointed for southwest steering committee

Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Dinh The Huynh presented the decision to Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on July 12.
Nguyen Trung Hieu, Deputy Secretary of Soc Trang province Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, was appointed Deputy Head of the southwest steering committee.
Politburo member Dinh The Huynh spoke highly of dedication of the newly-appointed personnel, expressing his hope that they will further their efforts to fulfill assigned tasks, contributing to the success of the 12th National Party Congress’s Resolution.
For his part, Hue promised to bring into play his experience, while working closely with the Committee’s standing board to further the economy in the Mekong Delta region, stabilise security and defence and develop the locality into a key socio-economic region of the country.-VNA
