Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Dak Nong on Dec. 8 inaugurated border marker No. 54 at the Dak Nong - Mondulkiri (Cambodia) border gate in Thuan Hanh commune, Dak Song district.
The marker is among 16 new border markers to be erected along the 130km common borderline between the Vietnamese and Cambodian provinces.
As scheduled, authorities of the two provinces plan to erect 26 markers at 14 locations.
The national marker programme will contribute to friendship, solidarity and a peaceful borderline, ensuring the security and sovereignty of each country and helping the two provinces’ locals reduce poverty and eliminate hunger./.
