President Truong Tan Sang visited and extended New Year wishes to Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) staff in Hanoi on February 7, in the lead up to the country’s biggest holiday.

Sang praised PetroVietnam for its rapid expansion, especially in foreign markets, adding that over 50,000 oil and gas employees did their utmost to fulfil its tasks in not only production and trading, but also in defence, security, diplomacy and social welfare.

He hopes PetroVietnam will become one of the biggest oil and gas groups in Southeast Asia during the 2011–2020 period.

The same day, standing member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) Secretariat Le Hong Anh paid a New Year visit to Regiment 935 of Air Division 370 of the Air Defence and Air Force stationed in southern Dong Nai province.
