New Zealand provides English training courses for Vietnamese soldiers

Hanoi (VNA) – Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam Wendy Matthews on December 4 inspected the English training course provided by New Zealand for staff of Vietnam’s level-2 field hospital No.1 at the Military Hospital 175 in Hanoi.
During her working session with the management of Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defence, the ambassador lauded the expanding cooperation between the two countries, highlighting New Zealand’s provision of English training for Vietnamese peacekeeping forces.
She noted that Vietnamese trainees have gained good English skills
and can communicate comfortably in the foreign language.
Since Vietnam and New Zealand signed a memorandum
of understanding on cooperation in peacekeeping activities, the New Zealand
Embassy will exert more efforts to promote cooperative programmes and provide
assistance to deepen their friendship, she said.
Representatives from the Military Hospital 175
shared difficulties in implementing the level-2 field hospital, adding that it will
be ready to deliver humanitarian aid and military medical support at UN mission
sites in April 2018.-VNA
