The central province of Nghe An plans to open two subsidiary border gates to Laos to boost trade, socio-economic and cultural cooperation.
The border gates are Thong Thu in Que Phong district, which borders Laos’ Hua Phan province and Cao Veu in Anh Son district, bordering Bolykhamxay province.
The opening of the two border gates also helps facilitate the development of joint projects in infrastructure and trade between Nghe An province in particular and Vietnam in general and Laos.
Nghe An province has effectively cooperated with Laos’ border provinces over the last years.
The province also plans to receive students from Laos’ Hua Phan and Bolykhamxay provinces for vocational training./.
