The Sandinista National Liberation Front Party of Nicaragua (FSLN) expects to reinforce cooperation at both central and local levels with Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the FSLN’s International Relations Department Carlos Fonseca Teran has said.

Meeting with permanent Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Van Thuong on July 7, Carlos Teran said FSLN and Nicaraguan people also want to learn from Vietnam’s socialism building process.

Thuong, for his part, welcomed his guest’s visit, saying that it holds great significance as both countries are gearing up for the 35 th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.

He thanked Nicaragua for its support to Vietnam during the national liberation and development, especially to the country’s stance on the current East Sea issue.

The host said the exchange of delegations will move bilateral coordination forward.

The municipal Party Committee will make concerted push to relations between the two Parties, Thuong vowed.-VNA
