Ninh Binh (VNA) – An exhibition on culturalheritage, scenic landscapes, and traditional handicrafts of Vietnam is in fullswing in the northern province of Ninh Binh as part of the National TourismYear - Ninh Binh 2021.
Held at the province’s gymnasium from December 17 to 24, theevent aims to introduce and honour the cultural heritage, relic sites andscenic landscapes, along with traditional handicrafts of Vietnam, therebyhelping attract resources for developing tourism and promoting the country’sstature.
It showcases 350 photos of the UNESCO-recognised heritageand famous historical relic sites and landscapes across the country, includingterraced fields in the northwest, Ba Be Lake in Bac Kan province, the HuongRiver and Ngu Mountain in Thua Thien-Hue province, and Tam Coc - Bich Dong inNinh Binh.
Nearly 200 outstanding products of traditional craftvillages is also displayed, including Phu Dieu pottery (Hai Phong city); DinhCong silver items, Van Phuc silk, Dong Cuu embroidery, Phu Vinh bamboo andrattan products, Son Dong wood handicrafts, Bat Trang pottery, and Chuongconical hats (Hanoi); Chu Dau pottery (Hai Duong province); Dong Xam silverproducts (Thai Binh province); and Thanh Tien paper flower (Thua Thien-Hueprovince).
During the event, exchanges and cultural programmes are setto be organised daily to introduce intangible cultural heritage and folk artssuch as the xam, ca tru, chau van, quan ho, then, and xoan singing, amongothers.
It will be available online, at http://trienlamvhnt.vn and http://vhtt.ninhbinh.gov.vn, from December 20 this year to February 28, 2022, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism./.
