Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam confirmed no new COVID-19 cases on April 25 evening, with the total infections standing at 270. 

On the day’s afternoon, five COVID-19 patients, including four Vietnamese and one Danish national, were discharged from the Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2, raising the number of recoveries to 225. All of them will be kept in quarantine for the next 14 days. 

The remaining 45 patients are now under treatment at six health facilities.

Also on the day, the country reported five people who had previously been given the all-clear tested positive again while still under post-treatment quarantine. Two of them are currently being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2 while two others have been admitted to the Quang Ninh Hospital Number 2 and Binh Thuan province’s Traditional Medicine Hospital. 

Three seriously ill patients numbered 19, 91 and 161 are still under intensive treatment.

Nearly 55,000 people are currently under quarantine and having their health status monitored nationwide.
