Noble State title granted to Phu Tho women
Authorities from northern Phu Tho province on February 1 presented the
noble State title “Vietnamese heroic mother” to 271 women who made
remarkable contributions to the cause of national construction,
liberation and development.

Forty-seven of the recipients are still alive. The recognition came in celebration of the 85 th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on February 3.
Phu Tho is home to 733 Vietnamese heroic mothers, said Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh, who also recounted that over 18,000 locals laid down their lives and 11,593 become invalid during the country’s wars of resistance.
He called on organisations, businesses, donators and individuals to raise funds for building houses for the beneficiaries as well as helping them fully benefit from the social welfare policies.-VNA
