The event, chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son, Chairman of the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong and Moroccan Ambassador El Houcine Fardani, attracted the participation of more than 50 ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, chief representatives and diplomats from 33 nations around the world, as well as UNESCO representatives.

Moroccan Ambassador El Houcine Fardani, on behalf of the foreign diplomats, pledged to support Vietnam and the northern central localities in realising socio-economic development goals.

Delegates focused on discussing how to promote the region’s potential and improve its competitiveness, and how to develop a hi-tech agriculture model and increase the agricultural value chain.

They suggested the provinces take advantage of the assistance provided by the Government and State, prioritise investing in trans-regional transport projects, and coordinate with others on tourism development and skilled personnel training.
