Numerous activities, including cultural and arts exhibitions, and performances will be held from Oct. 8-18 at the Hanoi ancient citadel relic to mark the 999 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 55 th liberation day of the capital city (Oct. 10).

An exhibition of 600 artefacts dating back to the early days of the capital city, will be stayed to help visitors get a clear picture of how Hanoi was founded and grew into “a royal capital of all generations”.

Meanwhile, artisans from Hanoi and its neighbouring province will be put over 300 ornamental plants on show.

On this occasion, a drum performance, an incense offering ceremony, and an exhibition of fine arts and handicraft products from traditional craft villages will also take place.

Performances of “ca tru” ceremonial singing will be held on Oct. 10 and 18 at the site to introduce to the public the traditional art which has just been recognised as a world cultural heritage in need of urgent protection by UNESCO./.
