Lieut. Gen. David Hurley, Vice Chief of the Defence Force of Australia, is on an official friendship visit to Vietnam from August 2.

On August 3, Lieut. Gen. David Hurley and his entourage held an exchange of views with Lieut. Gen Tran Quang Khe, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The two sides highly appreciated cooperation between the two armies over the recent past, particularly in medicals and training.

They agreed to continue boosting cooperation in exchange of visits, medicals, training, anti-terrorism, border management, searching of MIAs and sharing experiences in participating in UN peace-keeping, all with the aim of boosting mutual understanding between the people and armies of the two countries for peace, cooperation and friendship.

The same day, Lieu. Gen. David Hurley paid a courtesy visit to Sen. Lieu. Gen. Nguyen Khac Nghien, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army./.
