Hanoi (VNA) – Students of some grades in only Ba Vi district of Hanoi can go to school from November 8, according to the latest document signed by Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung on November 6.

Specifically, in each commune or town which has not recorded any COVID-19 cases in the community in the past 14 days, the district's Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control selects one school to resume in-classroom teaching for students of Grades 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12.

Students in other grades in the district, and all students in 29 other districts and townships continue to study online. All preschools also remain closed.

This decision was made as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop more complicatedly in the city.

Earlier, on November 1 when the city reported about 10 infections a day, the municipal People’s Committee allowed schools in suburban districts and townships to reopen for in-classroom teaching for students of Grades 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12./.
