Outstanding ICT businesses honoured in Hanoi

Organisations and businesses operating in information and communications technology (ICT) who won the Vietnam Information and Communications Technology Award (VICTA) were honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on April 23.

This year, the Vietnam Post andTelecommunications Group (VNPT) was recognised as the best performer ininfrastructure development in the fixed telephone sector and themilitary-run telecom group, Viettel, as the most effective operator.

Other businesses operating in telecommunications such as VMS MobiFoneCompany, Vietnamobile Communications Centre, VDC Company were alsohonoured at the ceremony.

VICTA awards were presented tostate-owned IT organisations, agencies and businesses and foreignbusinesses who have greatly contributed to the development of ICTindustry and community.

In term of IT, ElectronicsCommunication Technology Investment Development Joint Stock Co(Elcom) won the best effective software enterprise award and FPTaffiliates secured two awards for the best domestic service and productprovider for the domestic market and for export./.

Hanoi approves controlled pilot of two technology projects
